Reading books brings several advantages. Firstly, reading may open their mind to almost every aspect of life including natural , social sciences, home life or soft skills. Secondly, people can enjoy entertainment, increase relaxation or feel refreshed, recharged and reenergized by skimming book pages with funny stories or motivational and educational writings after stressful office hours or in their free time, . The final benefit of reading books is that it cultivates readers’ language competences. Thanks to reading novels, poems or articles, people may have chances to boost a great command of word usage, grammatical structures and writing styles. Therefore, their reading and writing skills can be promoted. For example, after reading numerous stories, novels and newspapers in English, I have enriched my English lexical resources and developed my deeper understanding of various authors’ styles , contributing to my mastery of English skills. In conclusion, it is beneficial to read books.
